After liposuction is complete, the harvested fat will be purified to prepare it for injection.

Am I Too Thin for Fat Transfer?
Thin patients may not have enough fat to harvest. The fat must come from your own body; It is not possible to harvest fat from another individual and then inject it into someone else. While breast fat injections appeal to women that want a bigger bust naturally, there is a caveat.
Small, tight breasts will compress the fat graft. Tight skin means the blood supply will have a hard time reaching the fat. Fat needs nourishment from the blood in order to stay alive. Without it, the fat graft will simply die, leaving the patient with little to no result.
Preparing for Fat Transfer
Patients should be in overall good physical health. Dr. Otake may ask questions about your relevant medical history to determine if you are a good candidate. It is also imperative to quit nicotine use at least 6 weeks before and after the procedure to facilitate healing. Women also must not be pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of the procedure.

Implants are not lifetime devices. Whereas buttocks or breast implants will need to be replaced over the course of your lifetime, the fat grafting procedure does not require additional surgeries in the future.
